Arts & Business NI and leading commercial and private client law firm Millar McCall Wylie have announced a new partnership that opens doors to boardroom opportunities across the arts and cultural sector through the Leaders on Arts Boards programme.

Behind every successful arts organisation is a strong board that provides strategic direction, good governance and the expertise needed to help organisations to thrive. As arts organisations navigate increasing economic pressures and seek new opportunities for growth, diverse boards with a broad range of expertise have never been more important.

Over the years, Leaders on Arts Boards has helped hundreds of professionals develop governance skills, while supporting the arts and cultural sector across Northern Ireland. Open to individuals across all industries and backgrounds, the programme combines expert-led boardroom training with practical board placements, matching participants with arts organisations that align with their interests, experience and ambitions.

The new support from Millar McCall Wylie will allow Arts & Business NI to broaden its outreach and encourage more participants to apply.

Applications for the Leaders on Arts Boards programme are open to people from across all backgrounds and disciplines. The programme offers two pathways: Business Leaders, a training series designed for experienced senior professionals, and Young Leaders, which includes additional development sessions for those at an earlier stage of their leadership journey.
