At Arts & Business Northern Ireland (A&B NI) we are committed to respecting your privacy rights and maintaining your trust as a valued member, prospective member, or visitor to our website. In this Privacy Policy, we’ve provided lots of detailed information on when and why we collect your personal information, how we use it, the limited conditions under which we may disclose it to others and how we keep it secure.
We operate an integrated communications programme which means we use your data to communicate with you through several different channels, including email. Our aim is to keep you up-to-date with all the latest news from A&B NI, however if you feel you no longer wish to receive mail or email communications from us, you are able to ‘opt out’ of them individually at any time.
What personal data do we collect?
When someone visits www.artsandbusinessni.org.uk we use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website.
Our website uses cookies to collect information. This includes information about browsing by people who access our websites. This includes information about pages viewed and the customer journey around our website. Detailed information is set out in our Cookie Policy.
What we use your data for
Data about you provided to A&B NI will be used for the purposes described at the time of collection.
Membership
As part of the registration process for our Arts membership and Business membership, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about things you’ve asked us to tell you about such as our events, training and programs and services; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing our data protection officer at gdpr@artsandbusinessni.org.uk.
Third Parties
Occasionally we may need to share information with funding stakeholders on attendees of our events or recipients of our grants/investment programme. If we are required to do so, this information would not include your personal data or will be anonymised. We would never share your personal data without making you aware, or seeking your permission, in advance.
Surveys
A&B NI may from time to time invite you to participate in surveys. This may occur online or using other communication channels. Anonymity of individual respondents and protection of personal details will be maintained except where you have expressly granted permission to the contrary. The information will be used to help us formulate our policy positions and to monitor or improve A&B NI products and services.
Opting out
You may, at any time, opt out of any future A&B NI communication, digital or non-digital, promotional or non-promotional. If you wish to opt out of receiving postal communications please contact A&B NI. If you wish to opt out of email communications please use the ‘Unsubscribe’ link provided and follow the instructions.
Photo and video disclaimer
Images may be captured during events organised and/or hosted by A&B NI using film photography, digital photography, video or other mediums. A&B NI reserves the right to use the images captured in any brochures, booklets, videos, websites or other media and publicity material produced by A&B NI. Where possible and practical to do so, A&B NI will seek written consent to image capture. However, where this is not possible for practical reasons, unless express objections are received, individuals attending an event are deemed to have given their consent by attending or remaining at the event.
Security
A&B NI places great importance on the security of all Data associated with our members, customers, registered users of www.artsandbusinessni.org.uk and other contacts. We have security measures in place to protect against loss, misuse or alteration of Data under our control.
